Take a moment to - Pause. Breathe. Recode. Reconnect.
Time to pause, breathe and give yourself permission to relax and let go or thoughts and feelings that no longer serve you.
What to expect
Through conscious connected breathing we bypass the thinking mind and drop into the deeper layers of the nervous system. This is where stored tension begins to soften and where emotions can move again. Not through force, not through analysis but through sensation, breath and presence.
The experience is different for everyone. You may sense a big release or you may simply feel your body and mind relax.
A typical Immersive Breathwork session includes:
Arrival – I want everyone to feel welcome. Come in and start the evening with a warm herbal tea, find a place for your yoga mat and relax in your own space or get to know other participants – the choice is yours.
Intention – Our breathwork journeys will explore different themes and we’ll begin by exploring that theme. You may be asked to jot down responses to questions that I pose. The questions are there to prime your subconscious and open it up to the theme we’ll explore. You are welcome to share your thoughts with the group or keep them to yourself. Your responses may be used within the session to make the session more transformational for you but no-one else will know who has made the comment.
The Breathwork Journey – We settle the body, grounding to regulate the nervous system and create a sense of safety. You’ll be guided through the session with music, cues and supportive facilitation. This is where emotional release and somatic processing can occur.
Using Conscious Connected Breathwork and other Breathwork techniques I will guide you through a powerful experience designed to help you release emotion and tension from the body. You’ll learn how to work with your body, not against it.
You’ll wear and eye mask (optional) and bluetooth headphones to allow yourself to feel cocooned within the space whilst benefitting from the group energy in the room.
Integration – We close gently. You’ll have time to rest, reflect and return to yourself. Integration is where meaning is made and the nervous system settles if you would like to journal, please do. If you would like to share your experience, please share. If you would like to take time and space for yourself, please do so. There is no right or wrong.
Never experience Breathwork before?
There is no need to have any experience in breathwork because I will guide you throughout. Just come as you are. Everyone experiences sessions differently. Your body knows what it is safe for you to work on and how deep you can go. That said you are always 100% in control. If you don’t like the sensation you can ease off or stop for a while. Some people get emotional. Some people may cry, laugh or make other noises. Some people lie still and some like to move around. Just go with the process and trust that your body will guide you.
That said there are some contraindications which would mean that it would not be advisable for you to take part. Please read these below before booking.
You will also be required to complete a health screening questionnaire prior to attending the session. A link to the questionnaire will be sent out with your booking email confirmation.
